Yu Ben

I was born and raised in a small town nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. I obtained my degree in Tourism and Administration from the National University of Cusco. For three years, I worked at the front desk of a local hotel, and for more than a decade, in the sales and consulting department for jungle tours. My philosophy is simple but profound: "Life is an amount of time, life is a journey. Let's make the most of every moment. My goal is to help our clients live the happiest moments of their lives through Natourandes, sharing our cultural and natural heritage. This is not just a job, but a passion rooted in my soul, driven by a genuine desire to enrich the lives of those who trust us. Every day, my heart beats with the heartbeat of the land that saw me grow up and the travelers who arrive with dreams in their eyes. Together, we create experiences that transcend time and distance, and leave an indelible mark on every heart we touch. This is my life, my mission and my deep love for the magic that is Natourandes!

Oso

Oso, the leader of our dog team, Oso is his original name since we rescued him from the rain-soaked streets on December 14, 2017. Weak and unable to walk, he suffered pneumonia, otitis, dehydration, and multiple wounds. Swift veterinary care with injections and pills nursed him back to health. Initially, Yu Ben had no plans to keep him, seeking a loving home for Oso. Yet, after two weeks together, something changed. As Yu Ben bid him farewell, Oso looked back with tearful eyes, prompting a change of heart. Oso found his forever home filled with love and care. The most cherished memory was when Oso, Yu Ben, and their team scaled a misty mountaintop. Upon descent, Oso sprinted after a herd of llamas. A muddy pursuit followed to prevent any harm to the baby llamas, culminating in joyful exhaustion. Oso's journey from a rain-soaked stray to a cherished companion remains a tale of love, compassion, and adventure, forever etched in their hearts.

Nilu

Nilu is Oso's companion and partner, she was raised by Jennifer since she was a baby, she loves to walk and ride in the truck, her favorite food is chicken. It was a little difficult to get them together in the beginning, they often fought to be the leader, finally Oso is the leader. Now they are companions and partners to us in this short period of our lives. What we remember most about Nilu is when we moved to the Sacred Valley during the pandemic and in less than one minute, she killed more than ten of the neighbor's guinea pigs because she is a good rodent hunter. We had to apologize, pay for the guinea pigs and bury them in the garden. Nilu has a strong instinct for hunting rodents, which is not uncommon in certain dog breeds. While her hunting skills are impressive, it's unfortunate that it resulted in the loss of the neighbor's guinea pigs. Accidents like these can happen when dogs are left unsupervised, especially if they have a strong prey drive.
