It is highly recommended to take a flight which would arrive before 1pm in Cusco.
Cusco is located at 3,300 meters high or 10,500. Some altitude adjustment maybe needed depending on the traveler. It`s hard to say who will be affected:Â Age and ethnicity the only are not real factors to even anticipate if you are going to be affected by the altitude. Diamox is truly the only medication for this problem. Consult your doctor beforehand. Diamox is available over the counter in Lima.
Meeting point at the Hotel at 3pm. This is where our local guide is going to brief you about the trip, please look for a note in the hotel lobby or ask the hotel reception where it will take place. After the briefing we shall explore the downtown on foot. Again we will visit the places that are accessible as pedestrian: So we will visit San Pedro market, the main square, the 12 Angled Stone, and the Regocijo Square.
